Organic fabrics
For our Growvy pants, we use gabardine as our main fabric. This high-quality fabric is made from 100% organic cotton and is GOTS certified. It is softly brushed, giving it an even softer feel on the skin.
Gabardine is a tightly woven fabric, originally developed by Burberry for outerwear. This weaving technique makes the fabric durable and slightly water-repellent, while still remaining breathable and comfortable to wear.
The fabric is sourced through a Dutch supplier that specialises in sustainable textiles, carefully selecting materials that meet high environmental and quality standards. The organic cotton originates from West Turkey, where the fabric is also produced. Because of its GOTS certification, the entire supply chain is certified and monitored according to strict environmental and social standards, including working conditions. Learn more.

Plant-based buttons
The Corozo buttons are a sustainable alternative to plastic, made from the nuts of the tagua palm. This natural material is biodegradable and valued for its durability and unique texture.
We source our buttons from a Danish supplier, who designs the collection in Denmark and has them manufactured in Turkey.
Our buttons are OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified. This means they have been tested for harmful substances and meet strict safety requirements for materials that come into contact with the skin. Learn more.

Natural elastic
In our products, we use natural elastic, for example in the waistband of the Growvy pants. It is made from a blend of GOTS-certified organic cotton and natural rubber, sourced from rubber trees.
We source our elastic from a small German supplier that specialises in more sustainable haberdashery and natural elastic. The elastic itself is produced in Austria, keeping this part of our supply chain within Europe.
We chose this elastic as a natural alternative to conventional synthetic elastics, while still offering the stretch, strength and durability needed for everyday wear. Learn more.

Cotton labels
There’s nothing more irritating than a scratchy or uncomfortable label in your clothing. We wanted our labels to be soft, comfortable on the skin and made from natural materials too.
Finding a small producer in the Benelux that could supply cotton labels in small batches and in the specific colours we needed proved difficult. So we looked further across Europe and were happy to find a small producer in Bulgaria that could meet our needs. They make our cotton labels using water-based inks, giving us a soft and comfortable label while keeping our material choices as natural as possible.

Sewing yarn
Our sewing thread is also made from GOTS-certified organic cotton. It is strong, durable and designed to withstand the everyday wear and tear that comes with little ones on the move.
And the best part? The yarn is produced right here in the Netherlands, and even the spools are made from natural wood. Another small choice we made to keep our garments as natural, durable and thoughtfully made as possible. Learn more.
